History of Adams Transfer & Storage

In March of 1964 Homer Adams opened Adams Transfer and Storage Co., a North American Van Lines agent in Bryan-College Station, Texas. In 1975 they expanded to Montgomery County with Homer's son, Bob Adams, managing the full service operation. Mr. Adams decided that Conroe, being the heart of Montgomery County, was the perfect spot to grow a quality moving business.

The Bryan-College Station location was subsequently sold, and by 1997 Adams Transfer and Storage Co. of Conroe, TX had outgrown its original location. That is when Mr. Adams decided to build a new facility in southern region of Conroe, TX. In that same year Homer retired, and now Bob along with his two sons Bobby and Larry Adams help manage the company.

In the many years that Adams Transfer & Storage Co. has been in business in the Conroe area, it has received many awards, but on May 3, the company was especially proud to receive the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation's Pinnacle Award, its highest honor. Only 13 businesses in the greater Houston area received the award.

According to the Better Business Bureau, the award is given to companies that "maintain a superior commitment to ethics, overall excellence and quality in the workplace." Adams Transfer & Storage Co., the only moving company to be so honored, was chosen because it "is an experienced and trusted local moving company." In addition Adams Transfer and Storage Co. has earned many Customer Service and Sales Awards with North American Van Lines.

For 42 years Adams Transfer and Storage Co. and North American Van Lines have dedicated their efforts in working together in order to exceed customer expectations.
